Party games with phones as controllers
Put the shared action on a TV or laptop, then let every player join privately from their phone. It feels like a console party game without the box of controllers.

Every pick below runs in the browser. Open the shared Stage, then let each player join from a phone.
How phone-controller party games work
One person opens the Stage in a browser and creates a room. Everyone else scans the QR code or enters the short room code on their phone. The Stage handles prompts, reveals and scores; each phone shows only the controls or private information that player needs.
Because the controller is a webpage, guests can join from iPhone or Android without pairing Bluetooth devices or installing an app. A laptop works as the shared screen, while casting or connecting it to a TV makes the room feel more like a game show.
Choose a game that matches the room
Fast reaction games are useful while people are still arriving because the rules take seconds to explain. Writing, drawing and bluffing games work best once the group is comfortable. Trivia and estimation games are a good middle ground when the players do not know one another well.
Check the player range before starting. The host can tune answer and reading time, which helps mixed-age groups and remote players with slower connections stay in sync.
