FAQ
Quick answers about players, devices, disconnects, languages and more.
Still stuck on something specific? The troubleshooting guide covers the fiddly stuff — codes, disconnects, out-of-sync screens.
How many players can play?
Anywhere from 2 to 8, depending on the game — some are built for a tight duo, others open up for a full house. Each game's page shows its exact range.
Do I need to install anything?
No. AnimaOS runs entirely in the browser — no app store, no download, no update to wait on. Open it on the Stage device and on every phone, and you're set.
Can remote friends play too?
Yes. Share the room's join link instead of the QR code and anyone, anywhere, becomes a real player in the same lobby — same rounds, same state, no separate mode.
What can I use as the Stage, and what do players need?
The Stage can be a laptop, a smart TV's browser, or a tablet propped up somewhere visible. Players just need a phone with a modern browser — nothing has to be installed on either end.
What happens if someone disconnects mid-game?
Their phone gets about 90 seconds to reconnect and rejoin exactly where they left off. Wobbly Wi-Fi doesn't have to end the round.
Do I need an account to play?
No — join a room with the 4-letter code as a guest, no sign-up required. Hosting works the same way: open the app and start a room.
What languages does AnimaOS support?
English and Romanian, chosen for the whole room when it's created — every prompt, card and Stage cue shows up in whichever one the host picked.
My TV can't open a browser — now what?
Use a laptop or tablet as the Stage instead, casting it to the TV if you like, or just gather everyone around a bigger phone or tablet screen. Anything with a modern browser can be the Stage.
